This post is on fruits to soothe anxiety.
When you feel anxiety, there is a need to cope with it. In order to cope with anxiety, what better way than to enjoy nature’s finest: FRUITS!
Hey guys! I am not a mental health professional and I am in no way saying that eating fruits will make your anxiety vanish in a poof. All I strive for is to help people. I can only help people based on my own experience. A lot of us don’t have the money for therapy, and my whole blog is just dedicated to helping based on things that have happened to me.
There is some scientific stuff going on when you eat fruits that can reduce anxiety. Fruits have all sorts of nutrients and minerals (some of which we already know) and this targets cognitive function. So, I’m not making this up.
Here are 5 fruits you might want to munch on in order to soothe anxiety.
5 Fruits to Soothe Anxiety
Jump into some examples of fruits that help with reducing anxiety.
1 . Strawberries
I don’t know if there is anyone on earth that hates strawberries. I mean, I’m sure they exist. However, the reason why people love strawberries is because they produce a chemical called serotonin into your brain. This is a chemical that is responsible for releasing happiness and the brain detects this happiness. Therefore, next time you feel a little low, pick up some strawberries. Just the sight of strawberries makes people happier!
2 . Bananas
Bananas are an important fruit to soothe anxiety. They are soft and creamy. The reason why bananas are great for anxiety is because they contain tryptophan. (Woah, some really weird names, right?) However, tryptophan is an amino acid that promotes relaxation. It is important for reducing depression and anxiety. In fact, there are supplements for tryptophan to reduce anxiety, but you can have a banana. It’s cheaper!
3 . Pineapples
I never really liked pineapples growing up, but now I love them. I prefer the ones that are half green and half orange. These make for the best smoothies and juices. Anyway, the whole point of pineapples is that they contain bromelain. Bromelain is capable of reducing anxiety.
4 . Acai berries
Acai berries are starting to become a staple in many people households all over the world. This is because of their purported benefits. Well, first of all, acai berries are fruits. And fruits are great overall. In addition to that, acai berries are packed with minerals like calcium. It also contains an awesome amount of phytonutrients. Al these factors combined aid in soothing anxiety.
5 . Blueberries
Just like acai berries, blueberries also contain phytonutrients. Phytonutrients have anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The thing with anti-oxidants is that they improve relaxation and give that soothing vibe when they eat them. This causes them to be a great fruit to soothe anxiety.
Eat the anxiety away!
Like I mentioned earlier, eating a little piece of fruit isn’t going to make the anxiety about your new job disappear in a poof. But it can help. We don’t all have the time and money for therapy. But if you want to be healthy by eating fruits, it’s good to know that you might be doing something good for your mental health as well. Fruits are filled with nutrients and eating them is always a good idea.
