“All big things come from small beginnings. The seed of every habit is a single, tiny decision. But as that decision is repeated, a habit sprouts and grows stronger. Roots entrench themselves and branches grow. The task of breaking a bad habit is like uprooting a powerful oak within us. And the task of building a good habit is like cultivating a delicate flower one day at a time.”
– James Clear, Atomic Habits
Atomic Habits is one book that vaulted my productivity and good habits mindset. I learned to be more effective and efficient with my daily habits. Learning these things and adopting better mindsets has helped me to get my life together.
Life feels amazing when you finally take that shift into a better mindset. Of course, there are days when you might feel like not upholding your new mindset, but be sure that those moments will pass. Nothing is permanent, least of all any negative thoughts.
Without further ado, here are 7 tiny ways to feel like you’re getting your life together.
1 – CREATE A VISION OF YOUR BEST FUTURE SELF
If you don’t have a vision of how you want to be – when you are rich and successful, then you need to create one ASAP. You can’t live your life in a targeted manner unless you have a goal. You need to orient your trajectory towards this goal at all times. It doesn’t always have to be about being rich or having a hot bod. It can also be things like freedom, confidence, and self-assurance.
2 – GET RID OF UNNECESSARY THINGS
One important way to get your life together is to get rid of unnecessary things that you have just lying around. Think about the stuff that has outlived its use in your life. Start with your own room. Is it stuffed with unnecessary junk? When was the last time you deep-cleaned your closet? You need to reorganize the energies inside your home. When you get rid of unnecessary things in your life, you are making room for better things to replace them.
3 – SET REMINDERS ON YOUR PHONE
How can you get your life together right now? Is there something that needs to be done? Set a reminder on your phone. Do you have weeks-old laundry shriveled up by your bed? Set a reminder to wash them. If you have to take supplements or medication, set a reminder on your phone. This can do wonders for you.
4 – START USING POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS
So, you want to get your life together. Do you use positive affirmations every single day? If you are like me and need a constant reminder to be positive, you need a list of positive affirmations to tell yourself every single day. I am good enough. I can do it. I trust myself. I always do my best.
5 – CREATE A LIST OF MEAL PREP IDEAS
A great way to get your life together is to create a list of meal prep ideas. This will help to save you time and energy to think up your next meal, and even avoid ordering junk food. You can plan your meals, and prepare and freeze them to be used when you next need to eat. This can improve your life. Remember that it’s the small stuff added up day by day that help you get your life together.
6 – BUY MORE BASKETS AND CONTAINERS
This tip is a personal favorite to help get your life together. Buy baskets to store all sorts of stuff that you have lying around. Store your work out outfit in one basket. Store your less-used spices in a container. Buy more hooks and hang your clothes on them. Hang your pans on hooks. Use the walls more.
7– DECLUTTER REGULARLY
When was the last time you went through that spare closet that has all sorts of knicks and knacks in it? You need to get your life together by decluttering every aspect of your life regularly. It’s important to disrupt the stale energies that sit around making you feel lifeless.
