Here are 7 things to consider when motivating yourself to study in college.
1 . Select the courses that you actually like
The thing about college is that a lot of decisions are up to you.
When you make a decision by yourself, chances are, you will stick to it. That’s why you should make a decision based on something that you will enjoy.
This will help you to always be motivated to study in college.
2 . Studying in college is different
You may have been an average student before, but when it comes to college, you might find yourself being top of your class.
Forget all that you know about yourself. College is a chance to start afresh.
You might have been a lazy student. But now that you know that college education will actually get you somewhere, you get really motivated to study.
3 . Study at night to be motivated to study in college (!)
One of the best times to study in college is at night.
Most of the time, it’s quiet, and this makes it easy to study.
If you want to get motivated to study in college, you might want to set a studying schedule to nighttime.
4 . Study every day
Believe it or not, there is a lot of free time in college.
You’ll be wondering what to fill your time with.
Remember that studying in college is always a good idea. You don’t have study only when you have an exam or test.
If you have nothing to do, you should get your books open and start studying.
5 . Study in bursts to be motivated to study in college
Studying doesn’t have to be a long dreary process.
You can study for a short time each day. Figure out the time when you are most motivated to study and study at that time every day.
Or you can study during breaks between classes.
Studying in bursts ensures that you won’t get burnt out and begin to hate studying in the future.
6 . Take breaks
Allow yourself to take breaks whenever you are studying.
As long as you meet your study quota for the day, you can be as lazy as you like.
Watch tv shows on your breaks. Have a coffee.
This is one of the best ways to motivate yourself to study in college.
7 . Study with friends
College is a time to make new friends.
In college, there’s no difference between the great students and the average ones.
Everyone knows that they must study to get their diploma or degree.
Get your friends to study with you.
Make friends that take the same courses as you and study with them.

College might be the time when you find out how much you like studying. It was for me.
