How to Increase Motivation to Study
Here are 5 tips on how to increase motivation to study:
1. If you study, you get better grades
There’s no way to get around this. It makes complete sense. If you study, then by all means you are better off than if you didn’t study. Studying gives you knowledge and facts that you need to employ in tests and exams. Studying = Success. That’s the simple formula.
While wanting to increase motivation to study, you should know that sometimes it’s deeper than just a little motivation. There are other factors that contribute to a lack of motivation to study. Here is a curated list of beneficial posts:

2. Write down questions
This is an approach to studying that I like to use. If I’m studying my lecture notes or a textbook, I’ll make up down questions from the content. It’s also a great tip for last minute studying. Writing down questions makes you familiar with the subject.
3. Do your worst
Your worst attempt at studying is better than none at all. Don’t wait for the right time or the perfect mood to study. Sit down right now and start studying. Take your time, doodle at the margins—but make sure you’re studying.
4. Do the least
If you don’t feel like studying, at least open your book and write down what topics you have to study. This will motivate you further and you might end up full-blown studying. This tactic helps you to feel productive. It also guilts you into studying—especially when you see how much you have to study!
5. Organize your notes
There’s nothing more frustrating than studying with disorganized notes or reading material. Your study session turns into an organization session. Take some time out to organize your notes, keep them in well labelled folders and obtain the necessary textbooks for your class. This will make things so much easier for you while you study for test and exams.
Study with motivation right now
The tips above are on how to increase motivation to study. They are a wide range of tactics, but they all begin inside your mind. You have to be able to command yourself to do things that are beneficial to you. The only way to get motivation to study is to study. That’s it. There’s no magical formula to make you start studying. Just power your laptop on, open your books, and get studying.
